Vice chairman chosen by American Legion council
Nelson V Lonz of 60 Broad St has been named vice chairman on the National Relations Council of the American Legion. He will serve until the close of the 1980 fall meeting of the National Executive Committee. Lonz was Fifth District Commander of the Algerian Legion in Ohio during 1961-62 and has held other district offices and committee appointments.

Pen drawings for sale by Huron group
A collection of nine by twelve inch pen and ink drawings by Bob Shingledecker for the Huron County Bicentennial Calendar will be sold by the Bicentennial Committee. Drawings depict churches residences museums and malls of historic interest to residents of Huron County. Miss Evangeline Miller will accept donations with a suggested five dollar donation per drawing to aid maintenance of the Little Red School House at the Huron County Fair Grounds. The school is open for public use by historical societies groups and county schools. Plans are being made for a special children's Christmas program directed by the elementary department of a Huron County school.

Man bound over in Milan vandalism case
David Spencer, 22, of 7707 Sprowl Road, was bound over to Milan police for a Monday preliminary Erie County Grand Jury hearing after failing to appear in Common Pleas Court. He faces three felony counts including breaking and entering vandalism and disrupting public order, represented by attorney Kirk J Dell McGory. Spencer was released to his parents for psychiatric care at Good Samaritan Hospital. Grand Jury reconvenes on December 19.
