Elyria to seek police levy on February ballot
Elyria City Council voted 10 to 0 to place a 0.25 percent income tax increase on the February special election ballot to fund 25 new police officers, more training and equipment. Coroner rules woman found in tub was strangled

Berea Board to reject state open enrollment plan
Berea Board of Education is expected to turn thumbs down on a state open enrollment plan.
