Mary Jane Hopkins, 89, died November 14 2010. She is survived by sons David John and Michael Paul and 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceded by daughter Judith Anne son Stephen Eugene and parents Elmer and Roxie Meeks. Memorial Mass at 2 PM Saturday November 20 2010 at Sacred Heart Church Oberlin. Cremation per Marys request with private burial later in Holy Cross Cemetery Akron. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4 13.
Jacqueline B. Howard (nee Skrepich) 72 of Sheffield Lake died unexpectedly at home on Monday November 15 2010. She was born August 12 1938 in Lorain to Michael and Anna Skrepich and married James R. Howard on May 12 1957. She was a homemaker and member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and the Fraternal Order of Police. Survived by her husband James R. Howard Sr son James R. Howard II and daughter Renee L Woods and sister Ann Drechsler. Preceded in death by her parents sister Irene Berens and brother George Skrepich. Edith M Jackson 59 of Lorain died at home November 16 2010 born November 17 1950 in Boomer North Carolina. She worked for Clovervale Foods and belonged to New Deliverance Ministries serving on Mother and Usher Boards Nurses Guild choir and missionary. Survived by sons Randall Taylor Anthony Taylor Donald Hall Shawn Hall Adrian Hall and Gerald Jackson II daughters Yolanda Sharon Tarah Donna Ge leen. many relatives. Funeral services for Gar Coles family are scheduled Monday November 22 2010 at 11 AM at Penfield Community Church with pastors Reutepohler and Kelly co officiating. The Coles Gar and Simone and their children Ryleigh and unborn Kyler died from a head on crash in Camden Township. Ryleigh donated her corneas and heart valves to help other children. The couple married May 23 2009 and their daughter Ryleigh Marie was born December 31 2008 in Lorain. Kyler Allen Eldon Cole was due November 22 2010. Gar born November 22 1986 in Elyria worked in customer service at Panther Expedite Seville and previously at TeleTech Amherst Township and Grace Consulting Wellington. Simone born September 28 1988 in Oberlin was a 2007 Wellington High School graduate and a certified STNA who worked at Mercy Allen Hospital Oberlin and previously at Yesterday's Oberlin Burger King in Elyria. The family were Homerville residents and enjoyed cornhole and Dora the Explorer. Friends may call November 20 2010 from 3 to 9 PM at Penfield Community Church. Memorials may be made to the Cole Family Memorial Fund at Fifth Third Bank. Funeral and Cremation services entrusted to Garland Misensick Funeral Home Amherst and Cromco Services Elyria.
Virginia Eileen Black age 88 of Oberlin died November 17 2010 at home after a long life as a business teacher at Elyria High. She was a 70 year member of Eastern Star and lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. Visitation planned November 21 2010 4 to 6 PM at Cowling Funeral Home with graveside services November 22 2010 2 PM at Camden Cemetery.
Rita Violand nee Meyers 87 of Westlake died in 2010 just shy of 88. She served in Civil Air Patrol during World War II and worked at NASA reviewing Nazi V2 files. A 20 year teacher she later became a noted portrait and landscape artist. She enjoyed summers on Kelleys Island and was a 55 year cancer survivor. She is survived by husband Ed ward Violand sons Gregory and James and many grandchildren. Visitation November 19 2010 and funeral Mass November 20 2010 at St Raphael Bay Village. Interment at Kelleys Island Cemetery Spring 2011. Memorials to St Michael Parish Kelleys Island.

Russ A Aden 54 of Wellington died November 14 2010 after a battle with cancer. Born April 27 1956 in Cleveland he loved carpentry fabricating and hot rods especially his 1950 Anglia. Survived by daughter Nicholes Aden son Chet Aden former wife Sandra Aden mother Virginia Aden brother Thomas Aden girlfriend Kathy Cahill and others.
