Four Men Hold Up Attendant At Gas Station
Four men robbed a Cities Service Gas Station at West River and Furnace streets at 4 40 PM. One carried a sawed off shotgun and they fled in a new blue trunk sedan with 47 dollars taken from attendant Jerry Deligny of Adaing street. Blinzley and a 17 year old, Joe Emody of Furnace street, were nearby. Suspects described as three men inside the store and a fourth outside refueling their car. Police responded from Har ry Pollock's grocery across the street. The victim reported the detaiLs and the incident. Police could not describe two of the robbers.

A grain elevator owned by the W. E. Tuttle Co. was destroyed in a four hour general alarm fire today in Springfield Ohio. Damage was estimated at 10000 dollars.

Dickinson, with 20 years in Y M C A work, will speak at a noon luncheon at the Y M C A. Local reports show $21,446.15 collected to date, with teachers and students contributing $2,045.10 and the industrial division at $11,013.35, led by the Pfaudler Company with $1,985.30. Colson Corporation and General Industries each gave $1,000.

In Mansfield Ohio on November 18 a 54 year old worker William Denman was buried to the neck when the top of a well he was digging collapsed. Thirty neighbors rushed to the scene and rescued him.

Crash Victims Improve After Bus Automobile Collision
Elyria Memorial Hospital reported today that the three victims of yesterday's bus and automobile crash at Middle avenue and 15th street showed some improvement. Most serious patient Elizabeth Johnson age 73 from Meadville Pa remains fair. Bus driver Charles Light 35 of Cleveland is listed good. Jobless Census Returns From Elyria Stream In
Elyria post office reports rapid returns to the national unemployed census though not as high as anticipated. Postmaster C. J. Sartor says some are waiting until the last moment. some workers now unemployed or retired on pension sent back cards though they should not. Most cards are in good shape, reducing the need for post office checking. Returns must be in by Saturday night to be included in the Washington report. Cards were delivered Tuesday to every home in the Elyria territory served by the post office. Only those unemployed or partly unemployed and seeking work should fill out the form.

In Columbus Ohio two downtown blocks burned in a $500000 blaze and the wreckage was ordered razed by city building regulation superintendent George Matson. Firemen battled still smoldering walls and pedestrians faced hazards as traffic was detoured.
