R R Miller, 36, of Norwalk, died in Amherst hospital from injuries after a Route 59 motorcycle crash Wednesday evening. Court Reporter Nelson Balcomb Found Dead in Burning Car
The charred body of Nelson H Balcomb a 44 year old court shorthand reporter for 16 years was found in a burning automobile on Route 2 near Grafton road at 745 p m yesterday. Coroner T A Peebles said a verdict could not yet be given as investigators seek the cause. A shell remained in the shotgun found in the car suggesting accidental discharge while hunting rabbits with Balcomb who was known as a careful hunter. The body was taken to the Taylor Funeral Home and further details were to be reported on page 2.

Lar Cooper 36 former Elyria stage manager was found guilty after brief deliberation and sentenced to one and a half years in Leavenworth Kansas for concealing assets in a bankruptcy case.
