20 Miles Of Double Track To Be Relaid
ZANESVILLE The second largest railroad project in Ohio history begins within weeks at the Dillon flood control reservoir site four miles west of Zanesville. Nearly 20 miles of Baltimore and Ohio double track between Newark and Zanesville will be relaid on higher ground to prevent the dam from flooding the roadbed. The project rivals the 20 year old Chesapeake and Ohio construction when 43 miles of double track were laid from Waverly to Columbus.
