Citizens and schoolchildren joined veterans for Memorial Day ceremonies honoring living and dead service members. Thurso County official A. E. Hale of Lorain County dies Thursday night after weeks of illness. A longtime public servant and farmer, he served nearly three terms as county commissioner and was active in the Masonic lodge Elks and Grange. Clevelander Hurt When Hit by Auto

John Dean, a Boy Scout head, was struck while driving east on Cleveland road Thursday evening. The machine involved had fallen and turned to pass. He suffered a severe laceration above the right eye and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Ridgeville Woman Killed By Street Car Collision

Julia Moran aged 72 was instantly killed when she stepped into the Green Line street car at 10 30 this morning. Her view was blocked by a milk stand. She lived with her daughter in Ridgeville Heights and the community plans an indignation meeting over speeding cargo cars at the point near a school and church. Funeral services are set for St Peter's church Monday at 9 30 in the morning.

Mrs Alige Weibel Dies At Ridgeville Heights

Mrs Alige Weibel died this morning at 3 at the home of her daughter Miss Rose Weibel Stop 49 on the Cleveland road Ridgeville Heights. She was sixty one years six months and sixteen days old after a three week illness. She leaves daughter Rose two sons three grandchildren and a sister and brother. Crap Shooters Arrested After Midnight UMC Incident

Police rushed to the UMC A after a complaint of shooting craps in a third floor room. Frank King, James Monroe, Charles Stewart, Leo Henke, Oliver Rolland, James Uava, and Lee Stensen were arrested. This morning in police court they pleaded not guilty and were released under $100 bond to be tried Monday morning.

First Woman to Sit as Governor of New Mexico

Mrs. Edward Chacon, Secretary of State, will become the states first female governor on June 10 following the death of Lieutenant-Governor Jose A. Baca.
