Hamilton tribute marks end of oldest Elyria school
A May farewell event at Hamilton Elementary in Elyria honored its last group of students before the 1900 brick building is demolished. Alumni fans recall old neighborhoods, teachers, and memories while staff note the school’s shifts to Franklin. The public visited, viewed a slide show, and debated preserving a sandstone block for the historical society.
