Strangers build new home for elderly woman in Clovis

Darrel Dietrich of Pacific Gas & Electric sparked a volunteer drive in Clovis, California, where 145 people donated time and materials to replace a dilapidated 240 square foot cottage with a 600 square foot home valued at 25,000 dollars for 75 year old Emma Traylor. Local Rotarians, carpenters and sheet metal workers contributed essentials, including a gas heater, turning a crumbling shelter into a warm, indoor bathroom residence. The now completed cottage offers dignity and safety Mrs. Traylor said was beyond words.
