Wheeler slain at Tulsa country club by gunman
Roger Wheeler founder and chairman of Telex Corp was shot in the face in his car after a round of golf at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. Police seek two white men in their 40s, one possibly bearded, as witnesses describe a beige Pontiac fleeing the scene. Wheeler, 55, led a firm with 150 million in revenue and 4,000 employees, amid anti trust battles with IBM. Meanwhile Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski of Poland died on Ascension Day at age 79 after a long illness linked to cancer, prompting national mourning and funeral planning.
