Oberlin Foundation votes to keep Humphrey as director
Humphrey resigns effective May 31 but offers to return if 43 of 25 board seats are replaced. Movement protests at his Cleveland home spurred petitions and a night march. Board elected new directors including Marion Gordon Abrams Robinson and others, with James Long Nord Sheldon removing themselves to allow new appointees. Two Oberlin College students to join next September. Gilford and Williams named co chairmen.
