An eight year old girl was killed and three other children wounded in Cleveland when Jack Gordon 28 a carpenter recently confined to Newburg Insane Asylum rushed a group of girls with a folding knife crying he would kill everybody Elaine Macklin was mortally injured Doris Macklin Rose Marie Parker and Lena Delan all 8 to 12 were slashed Gordon dropped the knife, surrendered to Patrolman Mitchell and is held at Probate Ward County Jail Investigators say he was urged by God to kill to prevent future harm His victims were en route to St Luke s Hospital from St Cecelia and Rickott Schools at Kinsman Ave and East 151st St. He lived with Israel Vangar for two years and was shaved at a barber shop before the attack.
