Change Stance on Tire and Tube Tax in Senate
May 25 The Senate Finance Committee reaffirmed its position on a tax by proposing a 2 1 4 cent per pound tax on tire casings and 4 cents per pound on tubes. To offset an estimated 20 million dollar loss and the change the panel voted to return to the Dill the House schedule for cosmetics and toilet preparations.
