Hotel at Oberlin opens after delays and green design
The Hotel at Oberlin, owned by Oberlin College, opens with 70 rooms starting at 149 a night and LEED platinum status under construction with a jazz club planned in the basement. It features a large conference center, on site restaurant led by Jim Barnhart and uses solar power and geothermal wells. The project cost 35 million dollars and followed a lawsuit over parking with a settlement reached weeks later.
