LCCC Adds Two Area Players To Varsity Roster
Lorain County Community College will add two area basketball players next year. Ron Krye of Southview, a 6-3 forward, averaged 88 points and 7.4 rebounds this season and shot 44 percent from the field and 58 percent from the line. Tim Blunk of North Royalton led his school in points and rebounds, set season records, and earned first team All-Pioneer Conference. Buck Penrod previously announced he will attend LCCC.

AKRON AP Parma golfer Jack Ferenz led the U S Open local qualifier at Portage and Fairlawn Country Clubs with a two under par 139. The 23 year old fired a 69 and 70 to top 175 entries and advance to sectional play June 4 at Sharon Golf Club. Two amateurs made the cut.
