AV gear stolen from Westlake High on weekend
Westlake High School reported the theft of AV equipment valued at about 2865 dollars between Friday closing and Monday morning. Detective Henry Cowles noted a color television monitor a stereo amplifier and two video cassette recorders were taken with no signs of forced entry. A boiler room door to the outside was found open by a custodian.

Elyria police say a man armed with a 38 caliber revolver robbed the Clark gas station at 259 Oberlin Road of $60 Tuesday night. Attendant Albert W. Higdon handed over the envelope and was struck in the mouth by the robber as he fled.
