The Elyria Gay Coalition urged City Council to postpone for one year any action on homosexual equal opportunity rights. Junkers unwelcome in Columbia Two
A June 1 crackdown on junk cars in Columbia Township was announced by zoning inspector Charles Hitchcock at a trustee meeting. Owners must display new license stickers and comply with state motor vehicle code. Hitchcock, who took over May 4, noted 29 zoning permit applications in April with fees totaling $1,388.35 and one zoning resolution book sold for $10. Estimated new construction cost was $748,025, with 14 new residence permits issued plus several garage lakes additions barns and other structures.
