Three Lorain youths were bound over to the grand jury on $500 bonds after arraignment before Mayor James A Hewitt. Marve Debona 18 Albert Schrankel 18 and Andy Detillio 20 confessed to planning a break in at Spruce and Lake avenues. Police report says two were stopped in a squad car and a third arrested after others confessed. They pried a window but fled after hearing a noise. Inmates Escape Marysville Reformatory by Sheets
Four inmates at the Marysville Reformatory for Women escaped by using bed sheets as a rope from a second floor dormitory. Marie Fleisch, Jessie Parsons, Teddie Long, and Anna Bogden, all 22, fled as night watch changed. A large pursuit with five police cars and state and county officials followed, but no captures by nightfall. Parsons and Long wore reformatory blue. others in plain clothes.
