Smoke bomb blaze damages Carlisle home. four youths held
A prank by four juveniles tossing a smoke bomb at a Southwood Drive house caused a $40,000 to $60,000 blaze. The James Fitzpatrick family was away. the home is uninhabitable. Firefighters from Elyria aided the Carlisle Township effort. two cats were treated for smoke inhalation. The four boys, aged 9, 12, 12, and 14, were released to their parents and will face juvenile court after admitting involvement.

Boaters’ bodies searched near old lighthouse divers probe lake
Police and Lorain Community Hospital rescue divers hunted Lake Erie near the Old Lorain Lighthouse for a second day for Brecksville man Richard Jankolub 38 who fell overboard from a boat captained by Charles French Eye Hunter Saturday night. Divers worked three-hour shifts without finding him. In a separate case Cleveland Police seek body of Brook Park man Clifford Peto 26 presumed drowned after falling from a boat near the Cleveland Yachting Club. Divers to search the Rocky River mouth for Peto who reportedly fell from a 25 foot boat about 1230 a.m. Sunday.

Fugitive drug dealer seized in Tennessee arrest near Huntsville Town
Robert D. Krebs, linked to drug and stolen car rings in Lorash County, was arrested with two others on Highway 27 near the Kentucky Tennessee border by FBI, TBI and Scott County, Tenn deputies. A half pound of cocaine valued at 100000 to 200000 was seized. other narcotics and paraphernalia were found in a Kentucky home. Krebs used a false Tennessee license as investigators learned his true identity. All three face cocaine conspiracy and firearm charges. Krebs held on 500000 bond.
