Bonus for air traffic controllers tied to system recovery
Washington UPI reports the 24,000 air traffic control workers could receive a one-time 10 percent bonus if the system is back to full operating capacity by January 31, 1983. The House Post Office and Civil Service Committee approved the wage package 15-10, with the payout contingent on restoring capacity by the target date.
