Cityview and Central Division sewer projects win preliminary approval

Lorain council committee backs over one million dollars in two capital improvements for Cityview and Central Division sewer work. Projects funded mainly by 20 year homeowner assessments with bonds from waterworks and general funds. Estimated homeowner costs include 1280 dollars annually for the Central Division sewer and 2850 dollars for Cityview assessments, plus a 425 dollar tap-in fee. Community development block grant aid of about 50 thousand dollars will assist low income Cityview homeowners. Construction to start within six months after hearings on assessments.
