About 14 000 cheering supporters braved rain to hear a telephone greeting from South Vietnam Vice President Nguyen Cao Ky and demand U S victory in Asia. Ky, Chiang Kai-shek, Wallace and Maddox spoke or connected by phone as two demonstrators were arrested. McIntire blamed rain on low turnout but planned another Washington rally.
