A Southview High School mock trial later this month uses a glam fueled night theme to illustrate consequences of alcohol related crashes. Officials cite NHTSA data that twelve percent of all crashes involve alcohol and forty percent of those involve teen drivers.
Since 1993 teen drinking and driving stats drift down with 2003 shows 23 percent riding with a drinker and 10 percent driving after drinking. Ohio teens report 76 percent lifetime drinking in 2003, down from 85 percent in 1999. A tragedy at Southview High frames a government class project by Joe Vietmeier as juniors prepare a May 16 trial.

The hit and run vehicle fled east with possible minor right side damage to tires or rims.
