Overturned dump truck blocks Route 2 eastbound traffic
An overturned dump truck hauling mulch blocked all eastbound lanes of Route 2 near the Middle Ridge Road exit in Elyria Township. Traffic was detoured onto Middle Ridge Road for about an hour while patrols cleared the scene. No injuries were reported. A witness, David Blake of Amherst, described the truck’s loss of control. The driver declined comment.
