Horace Kansas a gray oasis under Kansas skies
A travelogue on Horace Kansas in Greeley County near Tribune. Describes dry western Kansas, pioneer history tied to Horace Greeley, faded prosperity, a dry town with a lone liquor store, Ma Fuller's Cafe, dugout housing, and a drifting population of 150 to 200. Notes new water line from Tribune and impending YMCA dormitory for division crews while praising the people and landscape despite harsh conditions.
