North Ridgeville paid Hubbard C. Wilcox $1,000 for his service as city law director from 1960 to 1964 after he led the fight to keep the west end property from Elyria. The council action came after a lengthy meeting during which other items included a capital improvements account for the sewer fund and a rezoning public hearing set for Center Ridge Road. Ohio Bar Association Opens 88th Annual Meeting in Toledo
About 30 local lawyers are expected to attend the 88th annual meeting of the Ohio State Bar Association in Toledo at Commodore Perry Inn. The convention runs Thursday through Saturday with awards, 50 year certificates, and the new president Robert D. Moss of Barberton taking over July 1 from Norton R. Webster of Columbus. Rex Carlton, 53, a Hollywood producer and writer, was found dead with an apparent self inflicted gunshot in his apartment in New York.
