In California near Sunland a Pacific Air Transport Boeing four place mail plane crashed into a mountainside in fog. Pilot Arthur Starbuck and passenger C. R. Parmalee of San Diego were believed dead. The wreckage was found at daybreak eight miles from the airport. The plane left San Diego at 10 10 P M and was due in Mount Burbank at 11 30 P M last night.
