Earl Lorain County voters chose Republican Oscar G. Dunn for commissioner and Democrat Henry Kane for county mayor in yesterday's primary. Dunn led Dill Pickering, while Kane defeated Ben Golechen. Leslie Burge won Republican state representative nomination. DeChant took Democratic state representative. Auditors Ayres and Radican won uncontested and unopposed respectively.

Columbia township voters backed a $215,000 bond for school improvements by 152 to 57. In Columbia precinct west 65 to 31 supported, precinct cast 84 to 26 in favor, Eaton North precinct had token support with three for and none against. Two precincts fully supported the measure. Eaton precinct had minimal backing.

Chrysler Talks Recessed After 14 Hour Session

Girl And Boy Are Injured By Automobiles
Mary Lon France five daughter of William France of 118 East Broad street was injured at 3 40 pm yesterday when struck by a west bound automobile in front of Hess and Hess i Drug store on East Broad. Lyle Castle 504 Second street drove the car that struck the child and she was taken to Elyria Memorial Hospital for lacerations and possible internal injuries. Sonny Odessa about eight of 21 Chestnut street was bruised at 5 20 pm yesterday when struck on Lodi street near Chestnut by an automobile driven by R M Keller of Vermilion. Keller said the boy ran from the north side of Lodi street into the path of his car. He stopped and the boy was examined and had an abrasion on his left knee. Cars driven by William Holt 159 East avenue and Robert Perry 272 Marseilles avenue were damaged in a collision at Middle avenue and Second street at 4 40 pm yesterday.

Band Drive Nears $3,000 Goal for Elyria High
Kiwanis sponsored drive to fund new uniforms for Elyria High School's 80 piece band shows progress. Last night band members collected $661.33 door to door in Eastern Heights and nearby areas while 35 members played from a large truck.
