Severe weather spared Lorain County but knocked out power for about 2,500 customers across Elyria Lorain North Ridgeville Berlin Heights Wakeman and Carlisle Township. Erie County reports possible tornado damage near Berlin Heights with barns garages and farm equipment damaged. Cruise on in spite of threat to cancel Kiwanis trip
Sheffield Lake Kiwanis officials dispute an attempted cancellation of a Caribbean cruise planned for June by the Kiwanis Builders Club. Norma Marshall, wife of Donald Marshall under police probe for alleged sexual activity with students, allegedly tried to halt the trip by sending a cancellation letter. Catanese says the cruise remains on for June 14 to 22 with about 30 students, as he works to compile a student list and secure chaperones.
