British plan to exhibit King Tut treasures worldwide
British archaeologist Wats organized a major exhibit of Tutankhamen treasures from the tomb. The loan included items from the Cairo Museum, with displays also shown in Washington and Paris. The discovery by Carter and the 1922 opening boosted Tutankhamen’s fame and sparked beliefs in a curse.
