County Schools Enter 421 Students in State Scholarship Contest
Loran County schools have entered 421 students in the county elimination contest of the state scholarship contest to be conducted by the state department of education. The county contest will be held at Ridgeville School on Saturday, April 2, with a 23 member team representing the county in district and state contests at Kent State College, Kerr. Forty four students are entered in chemistry and 39 in first year algebra. Winners compete at Kent with 39 other counties in the Kent State College District. Awards cover district and state honors. The district awards will be presented Saturday evening, March 3, with state awards in Columbus on Saturday, March 11.
