Dry weather worries Ohio farmers face another drought
Farmers statewide fear another dry season will cut incomes after last year’s drought. Ohio Farm Bureau spokesman Joe Cornely says moisture is returning slowly and many are nervous about what weather will bring. Officials warn below normal rainfall from April to June could hinder harvests, with northwest and west-central regions most at risk. Groundwater and topsoil moisture remain concerns, spurring calls for crop insurance and timely rains to guard future crops.

Principal memo controversy surrounds Fisher case at high school
The Chronicle-Telegram reports memos in Fisher’s personnel file tied to poor evaluations after Buccieri reviewed them with school leaders. Geralds Camp, a business teacher, got a three day suspension without pay for visiting porn sites on a school computer and was barred from using district computers. Camp later became girls softball coach. Fisher alleges retaliation after she questioned Camp’s handling, while Buccieri maintains the matter was handled by administrators and not her concern. Parents’ rights to be informed about coaching duties are raised amid disputes over contract changes and evaluations. Former principal Ayers Ratliff criticizes secrecy in discipline and points to unequal treatment of teachers versus students.
