Fire chief seeks station upgrades for No 1 station
Fire chief Robert H. Dreger asks council finance committee for seven capital improvements at Station No. 1 7090 Avon Belden Rd built in 1957 to handle city growth. Major ask is 200000 to 250000 for an elevated platform truck within 3 4 years for protection of shopping centers and apartments. Other items include an addition 40000 to 60000 a new department wagon 5000 a snow plow blade 1500 a new ambulance car 600 electric door openers 1000 and phone voice recorders up to 3000. The plan and costs were referred to the finance committee which meets tonight at 7 in City Hall conference room.

Milan Jaycees Gun Show At EHOVE School
The Milan Jaycees announce the 17th Milan spring gun show at EHOVE Joint Vocational School. It runs Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm with guns swords and knives on display for collectors to buy sell or trade. Proceeds fund civic and charitable projects throughout the year. The EHOVE campus sits on Huron Avery Road just west of Route 250 north of Milan.
