District all star basketball honors highlight area coaches players
Ten area players earned first team status and two coaches won top honors in the Associated Press 1981 Northeast Lakes all-District boys basketball team. Elyria Catholic's Bob Guinta earned Class AA coach of the year for the sixth time, while Clearview's Bob Walsh shared Class A coach of the year with Hawken's Tom Bryan. Walsh's team topped Hawken 47 45 in district play as two of Walsh's players joined the first team.
