Teens endure 30 hours of hunger to aid global relief
Teens at Shepherd of The Ridge Lutheran Church joined the World Vision 30-Hour Famine Lock-In from Friday noon to Saturday 6 p.m. They fasted to experience hunger while learning about Ethiopian drought, water scarcity, and the needs of less fortunate youths. The event raised funds for emergency relief and wells and clinics overseas.

Lake Ridge Academy dominates Firelands in Lorain County games
Lake Ridge Academy scored a 540 point win over Firelands High School in the High School Scholastic Games of Lorain County broadcast on WEOL AM 930 in its 20th year. Team members include captain Christopher Walleck Zac Krislov and Haddie Klima who earned Stand out Scholar honors. Firelands was represented by Nick Gulish Jesse Hodgson and Kali Hodgson with adviser Kelly Miller. The next matchups include North Ridgeville vs Southview at 6 05 p m March 16 and April quarterfinals on the 5th 12th 19th and 26th.

A Cong UCC Church dinner offers Swiss steak and pie with 5 and 6:30 pm sittings. A Wii bowling league for ages 8 to adults starts at North Ridgeville Library, and the Soup for the Spirit fundraiser at American Legion Melody Grove features assorted soups, desserts, a silent auction, and music.
