Will von Bulow take the stand in Rhode Island trial
In Newport the Claus von Bulow murder trial nears completion as Justice Needham hints at denying a defense bid to introduce a police statement from von Bulow. The defense argues the statement shows no motive and that the defendant cooperated with police. The state cautions against hearsay while von Bulow weighs whether to testify. A ballet dancer testified Sunny von Bulow discussed insulin and Valium as possible aids to weight loss, adding a statement about possible injections and needle use.
