Government silent on Niehaus kidnapping report details

Conflicting reports about the Feb 27 1976 kidnapping of Niehaus a 48 year old Toledo Ohio businessman from his Caracas home drew no official government statement. A U.S. Embassy official who asked not to be named said a person who knows Niehaus could be sent to Ciudad Bolivar to identify him if he is found with hopes high.

New problems stall Davis-Besse restart hearing

Washington officials postponed a Friday NRC hearing on reopening the Davis-Besse atomic power plant after new issues emerged. Lorain beer drivers approve strike for contract lapse
