Youth Barnett Shot by Middletown Police
A youth identified as Sol H. Barnett of Wellsburg Indiana was shot and killed by Middletown police after they found him at an alleged attempt to fire the home of A P Peterson. Officers said Barnett drew a revolver and had planned to ensure the venture. Dogs were poisoned and kerosene saturated materials found near the house. A quantity of sausage with strychnine was found on Barnett. Peterson and his family were asleep.
