Illinois couple die in Route 20 crash near Kipton
Carl W. Schumann 45 and his wife 49 of Western Springs were killed in a two vehicle crash on Route 20. Their daughter Helen 16 drove the car at 40 mph when a left rear wheel from a truck struck and caused the fatal collision. Betty 17 and Grace Knudsen 17 were injured along with Helen. The truck was a Buckeye Brewing Co vehicle and a Clyde Mc Clair semi trailer was also involved. Bodies were sent to Western Springs for burial.

Cascade Park Pool Crowds Reach Capacity After Opening Week

Claims Hearing For Road Project Announced
A hearing on damages for eight property owners affected by the $15,000 improvement of the intersection of North Ridge Road Cooper Foster Park Road and Oberlin Avenue will be held in the commissioners office on July 14.
