Elyria Soldier Killed in Vietnam
PFC Norman Jones Jr., 20, son of Mr and Mrs Norman Jones of 244 West River Street, was killed Tuesday in Vietnam during a firefight. He had served since September 1967, attended Elyria High School, and served with the 105th Airborne Division Co D and 7th Infantry near Dak To. He is survived by his parents, a brother, and five sisters. Funeral arrangements are pending with Carter Funeral Home, Lorain.

Three Die and Eight Hurt in Oberlin Two-Car Crash
A two-car crash at the Russia Road Oberlin Road junction near Oberlin reported five injuries and three deaths.
