NASA selects eight astronauts in first group since 2009
NASA names eight new astronauts including four women and four men. Nicole Amapu Mann, Anne McClain, Christina Hammock, and Jessica Meir are among the female nominees, all aged in their 30s, chosen from over 6,000 applications. The class reports to Johnson Space Center in August and aims for missions to an asteroid, Mars, and potential flights on U S commercial spacecraft.
