Bullying inquiry reviewed after Parti Holland death

The Chronicle Telegram reports Sheffield Middle School staff found no wrongdoing after the March 23 death of 14 year old Parti Holland. An internal review by Gary Friedt and an external probe by Captain Bill Visalden found anti bullying procedures followed though changes may be made. Parti bullied for his size and race, his aunt said, as friends recalled his complaints about staff response.

Lorain case places children with convicted sex offender

Mayra Valentin says Lorain County Children Services placed her three children with paternal relatives Samuel Rojas and Juana Jiminez in a home that hosts a now adult sex offender. She claims she warned her caseworker Milagros Marrero and notes a June 8 2006 court document is cited. The man was convicted of gross sexual imposition at 14 for forced sexual contact with another child.
