Gossamer Albatross makers push past grim ride for Kremer prize
Bryan Allen and Dr Paul MacCready recount the English Channel flight of the Gossamer Albatross, a 70 pound craft powered by Allen’s pedaled legs. Allen describes moments of danger during the 2 hour 49 minute crossing as they secured Kremer’s $200,000 prize. MacCready hopes Kremer does not issue another challenge, calling the last month a strain.
