Pine Ridge Mobile Home Park residents in North Ridgeville held daylong protests at the park entrance over unsafe conditions and two rent increases. About 100 of 230 homeowners paid June rent into an escrow to pressure landlords Marvin Orleans and Dave Rounds, while Linda McMillen deposited rents with the Elyria clerk of courts per attorney Avery Friedman. The rent strike, the state’s largest since 1978 mobile home laws, targets ditch danger, road ruts, hanging wires, and sewer issues. Tragedy prompts extra patrols at new lake opening
