Treatment protocol for foot fungus with actinic rays and powder

The regimen begins with a 20 minute soak in two quarts of water containing two tablespoons of sodium hyposulphite, followed by drying and exposure to actinic rays for five to seven minutes at about eighteen inches. If actinic devices are unavailable sunlight can be used longer. Between toes should be spread for full exposure. After irradiation, apply medicated powder and wear white socks, dusting powder inside shoes. At night repeat powder and wear a fresh pair of socks, bringing an extra pair to the clinic. The next morning use another clean pair, then swap after the next treatment. Daily treatment, with cure likely in two weeks if faithfully observed. The powder mixes desiccated sodium thiosulphate with thymol in starch boracic acid and oil of absinthium as deodorant. The condition can involve hands, harder to treat. Soap and water ban may necessitate cessation of work for full healing. otherwise, complete hand healing may follow with other care.
