Elyria Boy Hurt When Hit By Automobile
Four year old Eugene Plas son of Mr and Mrs Frank Plas of 1067 East River street was struck by a car at 11 am. He suffered a head laceration and a fractured collar bone. Driver Mrs L A Terry of 343 Kenyon avenue was exonerated of blame. She hit the boy when he stepped from in front of a parked truck. The car skidded to a curb breaking a wheel. Dairyman C W Tattersall and Mrs Terry rushed him to hospital. he was later allowed to go home with good condition.

Blaze Ravages Buchtel Business Section in June Fire
Athens Ohio June 11 The mining town of Buchtel near here suffered a major blaze that nearly destroyed its business district. Estimated loss is 60000 with ten business places and homes burned. No injuries. Fire started in the general store of William Turvey and an oil store above the Turvey quarters was blamed. Turvey's building was destroyed with a 7000 loss.

A police raid at her home last week yielded nearly 150 quart bottles of home brew and two 20 gallon crocks of mash. Centenary Exhibit Highlights Elyria High School History
Elyria High School marked its 100th charter anniversary with a two part display in the Technical building. A historical exhibit in the cafeteria traced the school from 1830 with photos of the first teachers and founders, old diplomas and handwritings, and a bell from the East Side school. The modern student body was showcased in another exhibit featuring art, sewing, home economics, commercial and industrial displays, while a celebratory program in the auditorium mixed reminiscence with musical numbers by the 60 girl chorus and the school orchestra.
