Artmobile brings Dutch and Flemish masters to schools
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts runs a motorized artmobile that travels Virginia, bringing on loan works from the Welter P. Chrysler Jr. collection. The trailer-like unit becomes a climate controlled gallery with lectures for schoolchildren and teachers, then opens to the public in the afternoon. Driver-curator William Gaines, 30, leads the program and shares his strong art background.
