North Ridgeville weighs hiring a police dispatcher
North Ridgeville city council plans to act tonight to hire at least one additional full time police dispatcher. A city-finance study shows funds exist to station one dispatcher for a full weekly shift to reduce overload on officers. Currently no dispatcher covers midnight to 8 am Tuesday through Saturday or Sundays and Mondays.
