The United Automobile Workers claim Ford submitted an eight point peace plan granting the union sole bargaining powers for all employees, while Ford officials say nothing was submitted. A mass meeting approved the plan by about five to one, signaling a potential shift to recognizing a shop committee of UAWA members instead of formal union recognition.
