Norris Schofield proprietor of a meat market in Elyria for eleven years died Saturday evening at 10 00 in Elyria Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Two Men Hurt In Weekend Traffic Crashes Near Wellington
Police and sheriff departments reported multiple weekend traffic crashes. Elden L. Cole of Columbia Station lost an eye and suffered multiple injuries when his car left Route 57 and hit a pole near La Porte, reportedly after falling asleep. L W Jackson of Akron fractured his leg ribs and jaw in a tire blowout near Clarke field, with treatment at Falls Clinic and later Allegheny Hospital in Oberlin. Florence Darsling of Brooklyn NY received minor injuries when her car rolled over on Route 18 west of Wellington due to a tire blowout while en route to Los Angeles. Ira Goodwin of Cleveland was treated for minor injuries in a local crash. Stanley Trembeski was knocked unconscious when the car he rode in, driven by Mike Kocsis, struck a parked car on Lodi street. Trembeski was not seriously hurt and Kocsis was fined for reckless driving. Four people suffered minor injuries in a head on collision at West avenue and Oberlin road. injuries included a damaged ankle, facial cuts and a front tooth loss.
